What is FOV and Why Does It Matter?
What is FOV?
Field of View (FOV) is the angular extent of the game world visible on your screen. A correct FOV matches what your eyes would naturally see through a window the size of your monitor at your seating distance.
Why is correct FOV important?
Wrong FOV distorts depth perception — objects appear closer or further than they should. This makes braking points unreliable, corner entry unpredictable, and reduces your spatial awareness on track.
How do I measure viewing distance?
Measure from your eyes (when seated in your rig) to the center of the screen in a straight line. Use a tape measure for accuracy — even a few centimeters matter.
