Simucube has two parallel generations from Finnish company Granite Devices — one of the oldest DD manufacturers. All Simucube bases implement Safe Torque Off at the hardware level through an external stop button (EN ISO 13849 standard, identical to industrial servo drives), making them the safest bases reviewed. The SC3 generation introduces the Simucube Link Hub — a network hub with Ethernet and USB ports for connecting pedals, shifters, dashboards and other peripherals through a single ecosystem. The SC3 Ultimate features an all-new Spoke IPM motor (Interior Permanent Magnet with spoke rotor architecture) delivering the highest torque density and smoothest operation at 35 Nm — the most powerful base in this review.
